A Home For Elderly, Orphans In Sec 62

The Noida Development Authority has invited tenders for the construction of a new proposed facility in Sector 62, which will include an old age home and an orphanage.

The construction of a proposed facility, which will include an old age Property and an orphanage, is set to begin in Sector 62. Noida Authority invited tenders for the project on Friday. The facility will come up on a 5,000 sq m plot of land in B block of the sector. The project also includes 5.5 acres of park area adjacent to the facility. The new facility is designed to cater to at least 216 adults and 160 children. Each of the four floors of the building will have eight four-bed rooms, 11 two-bed rooms and two 10-bed dormitories. Each floor will also have a common area. It will provide all occupants with food, medical help and other recreational activities. The centre will have a library, healthcare facilities, medical emergency rooms and dining area. The facility will ensure a healthy lifestyle for inmates, with separate halls for activities like yoga, physiotherapy and meditation. More>>

Stamp Duty Hiked, Noida Flats Costlier

The UP cabinet has approved hiking of stamp duty on homes by 2% in all cities, including Noida and Greater Noida.  It will hike registration charges from the current 5% to 7% in Noida- Greater Noida.

This will put an extra Rs 1-2 lakh burden on each buyer, while the revenue department expects to earn an additional Rs 100 crore. With thousands of flats routinely delivered late in Gautam Budh Nagar, especially those affected by the Okhla Bird Sanctuary (OBS) row, it will be a double whammy for many home buyers.
