2% Hike In Stamp Duty By April-End

The stamp duty in Noida and Greater Noida will be increased to 7% from the current 5% by end of April, sources in UP stamp and registration department declared. While a notification for the same has already been issued by UP industries department, the stamp and registration department too will issue a notification within a week. There are over 30,000 registries pending mainly due to delay on the part of developers, who are yet to make payments to Noida Authority. According to sources, without payment, the Authority does not issue completion certification to developers, without which, the stamp and registration department does not register properties. More`>>

Noida’s City Bus Service Plan Sent For Nod

Residents of Noida and Greater Noida will soon have a better public transport experience.  The new AC buses will run on CNG and will immensely improve the traffic situation in the city.

Residents of Noida and Greater Noida will soon have a better public transport experience. The Meerut Regional Transport Authority (RTA) has sent the file on the city bus service to the state transport headquarters in Lucknow for formulation and notification of the scheme. Noida Authority and Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) had earlier signed an agreement to launch the 100 low-floor AC bus service. Accordingly, NMRC signed an agreement with M/s Empire Transport Service Ltd in January. The buses will run on 13 routes within Noida and Greater Noida. As per agreement, NMRC will manage operations and basic infrastructure, land and building of bus depot, hiring of conductors and collection of revenue from the sale of bus tickets. Procurement and maintenance of buses and selection of drivers will be done by the selected company. More>>



Tenders Initiated For Underpass On Noida-Greater Noida E-Way

The proposed underpass will be constructed to connect sectors 44 and 126. This plan has been vetted by IIT-Delhi and will be constructed using the pushback technology.

In an attempt to provide smooth access to commuters travelling between Noida and Delhi and to improve connectivity for areas along the Noida-Greater Noida expressway, the Noida Authority has planned a new underpass. The proposed underpass will be constructed to connect sectors 44 and 126. Having been vetted by IIT-Delhi, the underpass will be constructed using pushback technology so that there is least disruption of traffic movement. Tenders for the project have been initiated on Wednesday and the contractor for the project will be finalized on April 26. The project is expected to reduce the distance to Delhi by about 7 kms. Currently commuters travelling from sectors 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 96, 97, 98, 99, etc need to take a detour and travel up to sector 105. Even though there is an underpass between sectors 97 and 127, since it is very narrow, only light motor vehicles and two-wheelers can use it. School buses and bigger vehicles cannot use the facility and have to take a longer route to travel to Delhi via Okhla barrage.
