Sector 62 Metro Station Moved Closer To NH-24

The DMRC has decided to shift the proposed metro station at Electronic City near the Ghaziabad border.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to shift the proposed Metro station at Electronic City near the Ghaziabad border, the last station on the Noida Sector 32-62 Blue line corridor, across the road and closer to NH-24 to help commuters entering Noida from the highway. According to DMRC officials, the last station of the 6.8km Metro link will now be built a little more towards NH-24 and will be located near a proposed subway and bus stand in the vicinity. Earlier, the Metro station was proposed to be located on the NH-24 to Sector 32 carriageway near a proposed underpass. It will now be located on the opposite carriageway that goes from Sector 32 to NH-24 and will be 170m more towards the highway. New Underpass Near Sector 15A To Ease Traffic

The Noida Authority has planned to construct an underpass-cum-U-turn near Sector 15A to facilitate uninterrupted entry and exit of vehicles

There is good news for commuters who frequent the link road between Delhi, Noida and Greater Noida as well as residents of Sector 15A. To facilitate uninterrupted entry and exit of vehicles to and from Sector 15A besides ensuring smooth traffic movement along the busy road, Noida Authority has planned to construct an underpass-cum-U-turn at one of the sector’s two gates. Tenders for the project have been initiated on Thursday and the contractor will be finalised on April 19. According to officials, the underpass-cum-U-turn will be located at gate number 2. It will be two-lane and will be used for exit and entry. Once the underpass is in place, all traffic signals will be removed and turns will be closed on the central carriageway of the stretch including the two cuts in front of the sector 15A gate. The authority has already constructed a foot over bridge in the area for the benefit of the residents and visitors to Sector 15A. More>>

The Uttar Pradesh cabinet has approved an increase in the floor area ratio (FAR) by 0.5 paving way for extra realty space along the Metro corridors in Greater Noida.

Paving the way for extra realty space along the Metro corridors in Greater Noida, the Uttar Pradesh cabinet has approved an increase in the floor area ratio (FAR) by 0.5. The new FAR will be applicable within a 1,000-metre radius of Metro corridors in Greater Noida. The approval for the amendment in Greater Noida‘s building regulation came through a cabinet meeting held by the state government recently. The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) had proposed to revise its building bylaws and enhance the FAR in February 2015. The Authority also sought objections to and suggestions on the modified plan from the local residents. Following this, the proposal was forwarded to the state government for approval. With the cabinet’s nod, the GNIDA now expects the notification to come through in the next 15 days. A gazette notification was issued in March 2015, which has already cleared a 0.5 increase in the permissible FAR within a 500-metre radius of existing and proposed Metro corridors in Noida. More >>
